No organic presence in a growing category.

The client — a SaaS platform for production scheduling and capacity planning — was in a category experiencing significant search demand growth but had almost no organic visibility. Competitors with weaker products were ranking because they had invested in content; the client had not.

The challenge was starting from near-zero. The domain had minimal authority, no established content, and a team with deep product and industry knowledge but no content production process.

    Topical map and cluster design

    Mapped the full topic landscape for production planning, capacity management, and manufacturing operations. Identified eight primary clusters and 140 supporting queries with measurable search demand.

    Subject-matter expert interviews

    Conducted structured interviews with the founding team and two customer advisors. Used these as the primary source for content — the insight came from practitioners, not generalist writers.

    Pillar page development

    Built eight comprehensive pillar pages covering the core use cases. Each was 3,000–5,000 words, built around genuine practitioner insight with supporting data and frameworks.

    Supporting article production

    Produced 8–12 supporting articles per cluster quarter. AI tooling used to accelerate research and first-draft production; all content reviewed by the founding team before publication.

    Internal linking architecture

    Built and maintained an internal linking map ensuring that every new article reinforced the authority of its parent cluster and the relevant pillar page.

From zero to 28,000 monthly organic visits.

The results compounded quarter by quarter as each cluster reached critical topical mass. By month twelve, the site had established genuine authority in three of the eight clusters and was ranking on page one for 140+ target keywords — with organic traffic growing month-on-month without additional paid support.
